Privacy Policy

Farm2 LLC ("Farm-2", "we", "us", "our") operates the website farm-2.com, the Farm-2 mobile apps for iOS and Android, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account data: name, email address, phone (optional), and profile details you provide when you sign up — including via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple.
Listing and transaction data: product listings, photos you upload, messages, orders, ratings, and related content you create on the Service.
Payment data: handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers, bank account numbers, or CVV codes on our servers.
Device data (mobile apps): push notification token, device platform (iOS/Android), and operating system version, used to deliver order and message notifications.
Location data: with your explicit permission, your approximate location (city / region) is used to show nearby listings and match truckers in your area. We do not track your location in the background.
Camera and photo library access (mobile apps): with your permission, the app accesses your camera or photo library only when you actively choose to add photos to a listing or your profile. Photos you select are uploaded to our storage; we do not access photos you did not choose to share.
Usage data: basic logs such as IP address, browser type, app version, and pages visited, used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

How We Use Information

To create and maintain your account and deliver the Service.
To process transactions and facilitate communication between buyers and sellers.
To send order, message, and dispute notifications via push and email.
To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run Farm-2:

Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
Stripe — payment processing and Connect payouts to sellers (see Stripe's privacy policy).
Vercel — web hosting and serverless function execution.
Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications to your device.
Google — when you choose Google Sign-In.
Apple — when you choose Sign in with Apple.

Information you post publicly on the Service (such as listings, your farm name, ratings, and public messages) is visible to other users.

Google Sign-In

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this information solely to create and manage your Farm-2 account.

Sign in with Apple

When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name (if you choose to share it) and an Apple-relayed email address. We use this information solely to create and manage your Farm-2 account.

Permissions on Mobile

Each permission below is requested only when you trigger the relevant action; you can decline or revoke any of them in your device settings without losing access to the rest of the app.

Camera — to take photos of your listings or profile.
Photo library — to attach photos you've already taken.
Location — used in the foreground only, to show listings near you and to match truckers. Never collected in the background.
Notifications — to alert you about orders, messages, and payouts.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, we keep limited anonymized records (transaction amount, date, line items) for up to 7 years to comply with tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations. Server logs are purged within 90 days.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time:

In the app or website: Profile → Edit profile → Delete my account.
By web: visit farm-2.com/delete-account for instructions.
By email: write to hello@farm-2.com from your account email.

Deletion immediately removes your name, email, phone, farm name, location, avatar, listings, and other personal information from the Service. See /delete-account for the full list of what is removed and what is retained.

Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us at the email below. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), and PIPEDA (Canada), including the right to request a copy of your data and the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.

Children

Farm-2 is not intended for users under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International Transfers

Farm-2's servers and service providers may be located in Canada, the United States, or the European Union. By using the Service you consent to your information being processed in those jurisdictions.

Security

We use HTTPS in transit, encrypted database storage at rest, and limit employee access to personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and any required regulators as required by law.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
